How to call a web service on one site?

Question

I need to call a web service published on the same website called aspx.

When I try to "Add Web Link", the editor does not display the web service methods from the generated namespace.

Do I need to use the “Add Web Link” or is there another way, because the web service is on the same website?

I used what Andy Rose wrote in the comments:

Create an instance of the webservice class and call the methods directly, because it is available inside the project (there is no need to add a web link).
