How to make UITextField leftView in Builder interface?

Question

Looking at the UITextField element in the Interface Designer , he does not see a way to set the leftView property . I would like to put an icon there to show the user that this is a place to enter text.

The overlay view displayed on the left side of the text field.
@property(nonatomic, retain) UIView *leftView

Can I install it using IB?

Do you mean UITextField? It seems you cannot do this in IB. Instead, somewhere in your view, the -viewDidLoad controller sets the properties leftView and leftViewMode.
