ASP.NET Webcam Capture

Ok, so I saw a ton of things to capture webcam images, but I want to capture video. I want to be able to control the quality, length and size of the file to be transferred.

It is part of the ASP.NET MVC C # web application and would appreciate any guidance on finding information on this topic, as well as any comments on performance, security, etc.

thank

For security reasons, linking to external hardware devices is not a feature that most browsers allow. You will need to use a technology such as Flash or ActiveX, which has a binary presence on the client computer and can bypass the browser security model; ASP.NET MVC by itself does not cut.

I did this several times at work. You will have to do this either using the active x control you are writing, or using the distributed active control x that the webcam manufacturer makes (logitech is used to create, etc.).
