Maintaining stored procedures in source control

How do you guys maintain your stored procedures? I would like to keep their versions for several reasons.

I will also create cruisecontrol.net and will be this weekend to automate the build.

I was thinking of coding what create create scripts would do for all the table schemas / sprocs / udf / xml in my development database. Then it will require these scripts and update them in source control every couple of hours ... Ideally, I would like to make this a kind of plugin / module for cruisecontrol.net.

Any other ideas?

We use the Red Gate SQL Toolbelt to work just for this purpose. It works like a charm.
