any example using memcache / shared cache with jpa entitymanager on jgae? or is the only way to do this manually put / install memcache at the service level?

DataNucleus docs correctly defines how to use the J2O / JPA L2 cache. http://www.datanucleus.org/products/accessplatform_1_1/jpa/cache.html in case of memcache GAE / J L2 cache must be "javax.cache".
