Replacing quartz displays for legacy features?

Question

The Quartz Display Service Reference Guide lists several functions as deprecated (for example, CGDisplayCurrentMode), but does not mention that the replacement function.

What should I use to find information about the current video mode?

Is there any way to find out such information? The reference guide on the Apple Developer site seems very difficult to navigate.

I think CGDisplayCopyDisplayMode () looks like a replacement. This is new in 10.6.
