OutOfMemoryException when I hit 1GB

Does anyone know why I get an OutOfMemoryException when TaskMgr.exe says that my process consumes approximately 1 GB of memory?

If you need a better tool than Taskmanager, download SysInternals Suite from MS and use the Process Explorer Utility to monitor your application while it is running. Choose "View" - "Select Columns" → "Process Memory" and set the columns that you want to control. This gives you a much better idea of what is going on in your memory.

Could it be that the IDE limits the amount of memory you can use? In this case, you can specify startup parameters to expand the amount of available memory. At least as it happens in an eclipse.
