How much time does an average Open Source developer spend on projects?

Question

It may be a little difficult to determine exactly, but does anyone know if there is any statistics about the average time a typical open source developer spends on a project? I heard the numbers at 2 o’clock on the weekend. I am talking about unpaid work here that developers do in their free time.

Does anyone know of any polls that have been done, etc.?
