DBA Learning Resource for SQL Server 2005

So, I have some experience with Microsoft Access, creating database applications for people, vba, etc. for different people at work .... different units. And I really learned a lot in this world ... however

Now there is a need for SQL Server, and I have never made up my mind in this world ... so ask questions:

How different is what I'm going to get to?

I know that experience is the best teacher, but I really learned a lot through books, when I came to access, vba, sql, etc., so can anyone suggest materials / resources for training like this?

It seems that I need to learn how to be dbs .... so I have to hack the learning process, so I appreciate any help and help! thanks!

Microsoft e-learning provides several free courses and a free e-book focused on SQL Server 2008 here (don't know why you are targeting SQL Server 2005).

database design skills are somewhat superior to DBMS; the big difference when moving from Access is the use of the stored procedures and T-SQL constructs available to you.

Microsoft Press books are excellent.

SQL Server 2005 Books Online contains almost everything you need to know, but the structure is rather complicated at first.
