Open source developer

Employment managers keep saying they want an "open source experience." What do they mean? Do they want someone to participate in open source projects (i.e. Spring, Hibernate, MySQL, etc.) Or someone who embeds these technologies in systems? Apparently, they want both of them, but is everything okay if I say that I have “open source experience” if I implemented open-source technologies in a project?

You need to ask a specific hiring manager what they mean. Each of them has its own interpretation.

Anyone who is trying to save money on tools by going open source because they are free will also look for cheap labor. Do not be shy. Ask them what they mean by open source and how they plan to use them. make sure they use open source for the right reasons.
