Open source or free visualization software for flowchart and table database?

I would like to ask you to tell me which visualization software you need to get. I usually use software for vector illustration, such as "inkscape", but I would like to use software where I do not need to draw lines manually and where I can use characters to draw them myself :)

So, do you know good software that I can use for stream tables and database tables? I prefer open source or at least free software.

Thanks in advance, Andreas

Dia is a drawing program similar to Visio. It has a large number of templates, and you can quickly look at examples to see what it can do.

I used it for UML diagrams, and that’s fine (a bit awkward compared to Visio, but at least it's free!). It definitely supports database tables (entity diagrams) and flowcharts.

For open source visualization, try GraphViz .
