Django and Pinax or just Pinax?

I am developing a personal project. The project is "completed", but now I want to add a social application. I think pinax is ready for this task. I would like to know something:

Is it possible to use pinax in my project as a django application? Or do I need to rework my project with pinax?

There are two ways to get closer to what you are trying to do. As celopes said, since Pinax consists of many reusable Django applications, you can simply select and select the ones you want and add them to your project.
