Communication between Windows Service and Exchange Server

I recently created a Windows service that can wear different hats depending on what it needs to do. One of these hats is the ability to create updates and delete Outlook contacts on the exchange server. Before the Windows service, the application started as a Windows application and used appearance to complete the task. As a Windows service that is not possible.

Now I am looking for an attempt to go directly to Exchange to do this job. Any hints or tips on how best to communicate with Exchange, or any problems that may arise, would be greatly appreciated.

To learn more about this, you want to go to the Exchange Server Developer Center .

Given your requirements, and since you are using C #, the Exchange Web Services Managed API is probably your best bet.
