Connect PHP to Orbited

After searching the Internet for a good Comet , as well as asking you guys what is my best option, I chose go with Orbited . The problem is that you need good comet documentation that you won't find. I installed Orbited and it seems to work fine.

Basically, I want to constantly check the database and see if there is new data. If there is, I want to push it to my customers and update their homepage, but I can’t find a good and understandable document explaining how to constantly check the database and push new information to Orbited, and then to customers. Have you implemented this?

Also, how many users can Orbited handle?

Any ideas?

You can add a database trigger that sends messages to the message queue when the database changes. It is also offered here . Or, if only your application is talking to the database, you can handle it from the application through the Subject / Observer pattern , notifying the queue when someone called an action that changed something in the database.

I do not know how good or bad Orbital scales.
