Hide (collapse) JQgrid details on page load

probably a simple question, but how can I get JQgrid to minimize load. When you click the small arrow in the upper right corner of the grid, it only displays the grid title. I would like the grid on my page to be the same as the page is loading, and when the user clicks the button, it displays the grid data again.

When you set up the grid, try setting hiddengridto true. See this page for various options.
