Programmatically receive USB power from a device?

On Windows, you can view the Power tab for the USB hub in Device Manager, which lists whether the hub is standalone and the total available power.

Is this information programmatically available on both Windows (possibly WMI?) And Linux? I looked in MSDN with little success.

Linux:

lsusb -v | grep MaxPower

I think WMI will be your best bet. I am not familiar with what you want, but I would start with the Win32_VoltageProbe class .
