Synchronization of two heterogeneous databases

I have 2 heterogeneous databases. One in mysql and one in ms sql.

I want them to sync.

The data stream will periodically arrive, and the information stream will be in both directions

Has anyone got any strategies / approaches to it?

Assuming that you are not going to use any form of turnkey solution, you have several options for you. Basically what you are trying to do is find a way to capture changes made in one database and replicate them to another database.
