I made a TTS desktop application in Flash that implements Flash ActiveX inside a C # application. The Flash movie sent a message to the shell using the ExternalInterface API, which in turn passed it to TTS ActiveX. I can’t remember the name used by ActiveX, but there are several worthy options. It turned out pretty sweet.
