IPhone SDK - UIWebView Embeds YouTube Video

I use this so that the application does not open the YouTube application and instead plays the video, while remaining inside my application.

It works fine and everything except it is a bit slower with loading the date (they are inside the table, each cell is about 15 atm ~).

The moment when it suddenly loads everything correctly is when this error was passed to the debug console:

warning: unable to read characters for "/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/3.1.2 (7D11) / Symbols / System / Library / Internet Plug-Ins / YouTubePlugin.webplugin / YouTubePlugin" (file not found).

  • Is it possible that this slows down loading uiwebview? (as soon as this error has passed, it suddenly loads all the content quickly).
  • If this does not slow down anything, is that what my application might be rejected for?

A warning exists because the youtube plugin used by your device does not exist in the simulator (indeed, the YouTube application is not present in the simulator). The delay you are experiencing is due to the continuous polling of the debugger for information from the source plugin on your device.

I'm not quite sure that I understand your problem. However, the tr20 library has a good youtube control for embedding in applications.
