C # - Using a strong name does not protect the assembly

I signed my build with a strong name.

I made this from VS2005 Solution Explorer -> Assembly Right-click -> Signing.

But still RedGate .net reflectorcan view the code.

Then why use an assembly subscription?

Signing an assembly is not obfuscation. The string name of the assembly guarantees the origin of the assembly (i.e., the assembly signed with your private key can only be written by you), and this ensures that the assembly has not been modified.

To repeat, if you want to hold the Reflector, obfuscate your assembly.
