How to add mime type for <video> element in Firefox?

To this directory :

  • OGV (Theora / Vorbis) video for Firefox
  • MP4 video (H264 / AAC) for Safari
  • FLV video with flash player (player.swf) for other browsers
  • a template.html that contains the snippet obtained from Video for All
  • .htaccess to add new video types

Locally, the video displays correctly in all browsers. But the Firefox online browser does not display video and does not require downloading. Although the mime type is correctly set in my .htaccess.

Any idea to fix this problem in Firefox? (I am using release 3.5.3 on Windows).

Thank.:)

Note: this problem does not appear to appear on Ubuntu.

Edit : My Firefox installation was listening. Now it works correctly. Thank you, Rudism. :)

It might be worth a try on Google Chrome, which supports video / ogg. May help you debug ...
