C ++ and Thrift: Help needed to get started

I read about Thrift, trying to learn how to use Google protocol buffers. I was looking for some link that shows how to use it with a simple working example for C ++. This upset the inability to find such a site. It's a little surprising that almost all the examples use Java, a language that already has cross-platform RMI. Maybe I missed something in the search, and I would really appreciate it if someone could give a link to a textbook with a working example, no matter how small it may be. TIA, -Sviya

I have never used Thrift, but Googling brought me to this page - " http://incubator.apache.org/thrift/ " - which has a C ++ example at the bottom of the page.

This volatile page has this page - http://wiki.apache.org/thrift/ThriftUsageC%2B%2B - it has more information about using it with C ++

Since there was no tutorial on the Internet, I created it on my blog. You can check out my full Thrift tutorial at: My Blog

Since it is too long, I can not post my answer here. But I think my blog is a good resource for anyone who wants to get started with Thrift.
