Delete project from SCM in Xcode

I have an iphone project on mac. I created an SCM repository and then ignored it for a while. Now I decided to backup my source on my main PC and control the source code. I find that SCM wants to undo my changes, seemingly randomly.

How can I kill SCM in Xcode on mac? I need to tell him to leave my source files alone. Nothing is worse than making changes and replacing your changes.

I work alone, but I have about 10 projects in version control on a PC.

Thanks Gerry
