How to configure xsd that axis2 generates

I am following the "pojo web service" [1] upstream in the docs on axis 2, but the wsdl created is not very good. In particular, the xsd scheme built into wsdl is not very good, and I want to configure it. I want to allow circular references, similar to what jaxb allows you to do with XMLID and XMLREFID.

Any ideas?
