Using the flag to determine spoken language

In the webapp that I do, I need to define the language that people speak. I wanted to use a flag for this. But I have some problems.

For example, if you speak French, you can put the French flag. But if you speak English, you can put a flag of the USA or Great Britain or their combination.

Which flag to choose for the Arabic language? Flag of Saudi Arabia? Algeria? Morocco?

I think it’s usual to use fragments of the language as a kind of graphic (text, not flags), for example:
