WPF GUI / GUI Management

I want to create an interactive chart - so far I have found GraphSharp , which looked very promising, however I found I try my best because of the lack of documentation and a difficult to understand sample.

All I need is to place arbitrary WPF controls as my "nodes", connect them to the arrows and be able to collapse / expand parts of the tree (users do not need to move the controls or something like that).

None of the above makes me particularly difficult (especially in WPF), and I don’t need anything interesting, however I know that getting this error without errors and behavior can beautifully still entail a fair amount of time.

Is there a WPF control / library that can help me with this, or am I better off creating my own?

Take a look at Microsoft's WPF Controlkit - you can find it in CodePlex.

Have you looked at Telerik controls (not free)? Does the free Silverlight Toolkit on Codeplex not fit your needs?
