Performance Profiler for .NET with API

Question

I would like a profiling application for .NET with an API for me to use it to get metrics on the fly and then dynamically change application settings to optimize performance.

Is there such a program?

I really like dotTrace from JetBrains. One of the benefits is the ability to integrate with Visual Studio.

Another to add to the bank: JustTrace from Telerik. (Disclaimer: I - Telerik MVP - not an employee, but a big fan).

JustTrace allows you to monitor applications in real time at runtime. When abnormality is observed, just take a picture and investigate the problem.
