IE 8 error regarding overflow hidden in iframe

I am trying to create a rich text editor with the background set to the iframes body. The background repeats along the y axis, and when the user enters the line without any spaces, a horizontal scroll appears and the background moves to the left. I fixed it with overflow-x: hidden in all browsers except IE 8, where the behavior is the same as when overflowing: automatically, but without the horizontal scroll bar appearing after the text goes beyond the intended width.

I want IE 8 to trim extra content that cannot be wrapped in the same way as with other browsers.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

was a year. You may already have found your answer, but anyway

Yes, there is a problem with IE - iframe - and Scrolling

IE does not display / accept style = "overflow: hidden".

To remove scrolling, set the iframe attribute: scrolling = "no"

However, I do not know how to set / disable scrolling for only one of the axes.

All the best. Let us know if you find anything else.

Hurrah! Kris
