Is there a digital image steganography algorithm that is resistant to image manipulation?

I am wondering - is there a steganography solution for digital images that is resistant to image manipulation? With "manipulations" I mean the most standard operations - JPEG recompression (or even changing file formats completely), cropping and scaling. Applying this method would naturally be to protect the copyright of the image.

I fully understand that the more images are manipulated, the less likely that the steganographic watermark is not damaged, but at least some degree of resistance will be pleasant.

It seems to me that this is another step in the game with a cat and mice, but here you are:

From the findings:

β€œThere will always be a compromise with the introduction of watermarks. By this we mean a compromise between the reliability of the watermark and the erasure of the image. At some point, the strength of the watermark will degrade the image to a point that is not acceptable.
