Mac look on other platforms?

I'm just wondering if there is a gui framework that fuses you to use mac look n on other platforms. presumably frameworks that use native APIs will not be useful (e.g. wxwidgets). qt uses its own API in part for mac look n feel, so this is not useful. how about a swing?

Legally, you cannot create the look of a Mac on another platform. Apple owns the copyright to it.

However, Quaqua Java Look-and-feel implements Java widgets that have this look. If you have good reason to use it in a non-commercial way, this may be the solution.

In general, do not do this. Different platforms have different conventions, and your software must follow its platform conventions to minimize the cognitive load of the user.

If, I think, you are the only person you have ever expected to use.

You can implement your own style in Qt [and probably GTK *] to try and look the same (see QStyle ). However, it is probably not worth the time or effort, and they will annoy some users. There are some Windows themes that try to mimic the look. I know that the new version of parallel ships with something similar, but it looks pretty funny, because the fields, spacing, font, etc. Totally wrong.
