Installing multiple IDEs causes problems

I am trying to estimate the number of IDEs like Eclipse, intelliJ, Aptana etc. to find out which one suits my needs. My question is, should I expect any problems installing multiple IDEs on the same computer? I know that some IDEs are based on others (Aptana is based on eclipse), but intelliJ is not), so will there be a problem installing both Aptana and Eclipse? Do you have more than one IDE working together without problems? Which of them?

I had both Eclipse and Aptana installed on the same machine without any problems. I now have Eclipse and NetBeans on this machine, and I know that they do not interfere with each other in the least.

I also had different versions of the same IDE (NetBeans) installed on the same machine, with different versions installed in different directories, and even this did not cause any problems. You can even list them in the same project folders if you want.

I really doubt that this will cause problems.

The only possible problem, if you use some kind of network debugging (e.g. php debugging), they can fight for access to the TCP port, but this is not a problem.

My school computers have Eclipse, Netbeans, Anjuta, Kdevelop, and several other obscure IDEs, and they work great.
