I'm rebuilding my blog and ... is HTML5 okay?

I am rebuilding my blog ( http://gilesvangruisen.com/ ) and I am going to promote new technologies as much as possible.

I am a web designer / developer, and the percentage of the browser is as follows: 42% Firefox 39% Safari 7% Chrome 7% IE

Can I use the HTML5 method for my "rethunk" site?

Thank you. -Giles :)

I would consider using HTML5 Boilerplate as a starting point. It is HTML5 (obviously), but has been tested for compatibility with various browsers to make sure that it still displays correctly everywhere. It also has jQuery, Modernizr and normalizr, so you have a good foundation to create.

I have never used it for most static sites, but it has proven to be a good starting point for our various applications.
