Customize date picker: how to change width and height of datepicker in iphone?

Is there a way to configure the datepicker used on iphone?

I want to change the height and width. Can we change the background color, its color?

Please help if someone has done this before.

Size cannot be resized. There are other questions regarding this and several ways to fake it, partially move it on the screen, or place other views in the direction of partially shading parts, or add background images to make them look larger. The best approach is to use it as is or write a custom picker.
