Does anyone know api music and database?

Does anyone know of another yahoo music API ( http://developer.yahoo.com/music/ )

I had to clarify a bit. I know other APIs, but I would really like to know how your experience with your API was chosen. Especially with the ability to recognize artist names and track names. I work a lot with the Yahoo API and I am not satisfied with the results.

There are several music APIs in EchoNest, but I have not used them:

I understand that at the moment this is a very old thread, but I wanted to add a great resource for anyone looking for music APIs in the future.

ProgrammableWeb maintains a list of music APIs ( 219 at the time of writing ). They have all kinds of data sets: from social labeling to acoustic qualities and metadata.
