JQuery UI Sortable: Selecting Multiple Elements

Question

I would like (via a keyboard operator) to select several items in an unordered list and drag them to another point in the same list using jQuery sorting.

• Select items to sort
• Create Custom Assistant
• Hide selected items until sorting is complete
• Resize the placeholder according to your choice
• Manually separate the selected items from the current position and attach them to the new position after sorting.
• Show hidden items (undo step 3) after step 5
