WWW authentication output

I noticed that as soon as Firefox outputs a modal response in response to the WWW-Authenticate header in the HTTP response. Firefox then saves the username / password until Firefox closes. web developer allows you to connect with developers. But what kind of HTTP message should be sent to the browser in order to lose these cached credentials?

I found a reasonable solution. This is a bit related, but works very well. I created a table with a GUID field. It did not start with any entries. Here's the solution:

• The user clicks "Exit".
• The script output adds a GUID to the new table.

Firefox will clear it in the WWW-auth UN / PW cache with 403 Forbidden.

Chrome will clear with 403 Forbiddenor 401 Not Authorized.

Safari will always ask if you want to cache or not.

IE is poop.
