MSMQ and Active Directory Integration

I have 2 applications that use MSMQ to transfer information between two servers.

Posts are published quarterly and run without problems.

Another application runs once at night and appears to be interrupted with the error of the following error message:

A connection with Active Directory cannot be established. Verify that there are
sufficient permissions to perform this operation.

Repeating this task manually completes without problems.

When we first installed MSMQ on our servers, we set the default setting, which resulted in the installation of Active Directory.

I read several posts on this issue, and they recommend removing this component, as well as adding a registry key to disable it.

Nine tips for enterprise-protected MSMQs is a well-written article that has given me a lot of information.

My question is, are there any additional steps that I should take if I were to remove this?

Is there something this component is doing that I don't know about?

My client queue paths are formatted as "DIRECT = TCP: XXX.XXX.X.XXX \ UploadQ". Should I change them?

Thanks again for the help.

Active Directory seems to be the devil when working with MSMQ. We circumvented any problems with Active Directory by using private queues and bypassing the active directory.

This approach also improves MSMQ performance in terms of speed.
