Django alternative form libraries, e.g. sprox, formal chemistry

Question

Has anyone had the joy / pain of using other form libraries in django projects (initially using SQLAlchemy models, but perhaps for use with django models in the future)?

The initial impressions that sprox is more flexible and decoupled, but the formal procedure can be accelerated and work, but I would be very interested to hear from other people who have already switched from django.forms or who have experience with any of sprox or formalchemistry.
