Html tidy and rails apps - erb or rthml files. Ruby alternative?

I just installed the Tidy HTML plugin for eclipse. I added the html.erb file type and now it will do its magic in my erb files. However, it puts a title tag and changes many of my characters to avoid characters. How can I stop this because of this - or is there a ruby ​​alternative that will go through my code, reindent and stick to the missing tags? I am worried about many erb files since the built-in formatter with Aptana is hard to use. I do not see blatant errors when viewing the page, but I am sure that there are some inappropriate tags and stuff that I would like to get rid of. Any recommendations?
