Exclude entity bean attributes from hibernation request?

I am new to this sleeping / jpa stuff, so bear with me ..

I created a bean object and it works fine, but I would like to add additional attributes to it, and this makes hibernate complain that additional attributes are not listed in the list of table fields.

Is there a keyword to exclude these attributes from the sleep request?

Mark them as @Transient.
