Capturing iPhone Signatures

My company would love to have an iPhone app that, among other features, could capture a client’s signature. A web application would be ideal, but unfortunately Mobile Safari does not seem to be able to capture mouse movements using javascript. He captures them for manipulating the screen. Therefore, my question consists of two parts:

  • Is there a way a web application can capture a signature from an iPhone?
  • Otherwise, you can develop your own application for the iPhone, which will be installed only on our own iPhone, and not through the App Store?

As an alternative answer to your second question, you can deploy a small group of users (100 or less) using the Ad Hoc deployment method by simply adding all the device UDIDs to the list of devices on the Apple iOS Support Portal. You can then distribute the Ad Hoc assembly to all users on this list without using the Enterprise Developer Developer License.
