The problem is latex: "There is no line to complete."

I use Lyx to create a latex document, and when I try to convert it to pdf, it complains about the error: "there is no line to the end", and the description is "//".

My latex document looks like 200 lines without many line breaks. How should I debug this and convert this damn pdf. I was literally stuck with this for hours, I can’t imagine this pdf file. And for 90% of the time when writing this document, the conversion to pdf works fine, I don’t know, since when did it start to fail.

Does anyone give me a quick way to get rid of this error? Otherwise, this latex document is useless.

Thanks.

Dear Sabo, please write an offensive line. You probably have a "\" in a one-line math environment. If you post code for the whole environment, I can try to indicate how to prevent this error.

This may seem silly, but sometimes latex needs a sign in front of \, so:

~\\

It really depends on the distribution you choose. LyX btw. is kind of crazy when it comes to exporting LaTeX. Try auctex if you have a month or two to save;)

LyX- LaTeX, "" ( pdflatex mydoc - ) , . LyX.
