Is python a twisted HttpClient access framework?

I need to access a webpage using

twisted.web.client.getPage()

or a similar method for downloading a web page from a known address (for example: www.google.com), the problem is that I am behind a proxy server, and I could not find explanations on how to configure twisted or factories to use my proxy, any ideas?

Keep in mind that I must specify the user, password, host and port. On my Linux-machine I installed http_proxyand https_proxyinhttp://user:pwd@ip:port
