Strategy for data synchronization with mobile phones?

We created a .NET server application that hosts data (contacts, email, etc.). We would like to synchronize our data with mobile devices : iPhone, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, etc.

How should we do this?

  • Create several mobile applications, one for each platform (for example, an application for iPhone, an application for Blackberry, etc.), each application is synchronized with our server.

  • The Microsoft Exchange protocol is licensed from Microsoft, so our server application claims to be the Exchange server, which simplifies synchronization on all different platforms (as we understand, iPhone, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, etc. all have built-in synchronization with Microsoft Exchange).

Are there any other options?

Any suggestions?

One option you should definitely consider is the Oracles enterprise application platform. This is a combination of several different products, such as Database Lite Mobile Server, ADF Mobile, and JDeveloper.
