Preload Size Recommendations

I am working on a high-end flash site (AS3) with a lot of videos, hi-res graphics and sound effects; It goes without saying that the initial preloader got a lot of work (just to get a site where additional assets can be downloaded on the fly as needed). Since it will be displayed for some time at most connection speeds, it is rather intricately designed, with lots of animation, sound effects, etc., and weighs 300 pounds. I’m sure that I can bring him down with further optimization of assets, but I’m not sure what my goal should be. What is the largest file size for swf preloader that you can reasonably expect from a user to download?

On the other hand, I am not blinded by the many ironies that I have a preloader for my preloader, but I am not completely opposed to this, especially if it is something light, like a logo or a small image. Is this a ridiculous suggestion, or are people really doing such things? If so, what recommendations could you recommend?

Thanks!

Justin

-1, even if you have a preloader for preloader: P ... again, I know that some web design directors often do not think about the user, so this is probably not your mistake ^^.

, . , preloader ( ;)), - , , ... , preloader 20 , .
