ICal free time API (Apple people?)

Snow Leopard has the ability to display free time in an iCal event. I was looking for CalStore.framework headers and could not find any property that describes this field. How can I get the free / busy property of a calendar event?

It’s pretty accurate that there is no public API in the calendar store for this. You will have to file a bug request. Alternatives:

  • See if iCal supports AppleScript for a property
  • Use synchronization services that have access to the full iCal scheme
