For a solo developer using the beta version of Visual Studio 2010 2, is TFS Basic a better option than Subversion (with VisualSVN or Ankh) and (optionally) something like Cruisecontrol?
I do not need a distributed source or even remote access. I do not care about the deployment and all the messages. I just want version control and potentially automatic testing and creation.
EDIT: answer Bob Aman's questions (thanks to Bob)
I considered the possibility of self-placement, but as you say, this is a good idea. I regularly refresh myself. Only I will have access to the repository, so access control will not be difficult. I have an MSDN subscription, so the cost is not a problem. The repository will not become especially large - I am not so productive.: /
