Is there any way to get / use OS X 10.3 Cocoa SDK on machine 10.6?

Before asking, yes, I have a very good reason for something to be running on 10.3. This is a very small proprietary project that should be run on a very important user machine that cannot be updated for a very good reason. =)

The 10.6 DVD doesn't seem to offer the 10.3 SDK installation option, only 10.4+. I also can not find it on the Apple website.

I found this advice on how to install it on 10.5 through additional Xcode installations, but this does not look like 10.6?   http://www.cocoabuilder.com/archive/cocoa/201508-10-3-9-sdk-with-xcode-2-5-on-leopard.html

Is this incompatible or simply not offered because he is so old? Should I use an earlier version of Xcode? Can I just install it using DVD <10.6 DVD?

For Mac OS X 10.3, you don’t need the Mac OS X 10.3 SDK. Just install the optional Mac OS X 10.4 (Universal) SDK, then:

  • Install the Core SDK on Mac OS X 10.4 (Universal) SDK
  • Install compiler version in GCC 4.0
  • Set a goal to deploy Mac OS X for Mac OS X 10.3 for PowerPC architecture (using customization conditions)
  • Carefully avoid using any API that is not on Mac OS X 10.3.

Mac OS X, Mac OS X 10.3.9 Snow Leopard.

10.3.9; ++ , Mac OS X 10.3.9 ( 10.3), ++ , GCC 4.0 . GCC 3.3, Xcode 3.2 Snow Leopard.

Perhaps the 10.3 SDK is not supported on 10.6, because 10.6 is only for Intel. In addition, 10.3 does not support Intel. Remember that 10.4 was the first OS to support Intel, which is why it is the earliest OS supported on 10.6. However, I could be wrong.
