Can I drag and drop files from the local file system to the Flex application?

I would like to know if it is possible to create a Flex application that accepts a drop of local files?

The goal is only to get the full path / file name in the local file system.

No. Due to security reasons, flex does not allow you to read the full file name even when downloading the file.
