Install Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 Next to VS2008

I'm too paranoid to install the VS2010 Beta 2 on my production machine near the VS2008, without hearing from people who have already taken the plunge. I know that MS says that this is normal, but that does not necessarily mean that it will work.

Has anyone successfully installed VS2010 Beta 2 (preferably Ultimate edition) on their production machine without any negative consequences?

I installed VS2010 beta 2 in my machine along with VS2008 and it seems to work fine. I had two good reasons to start using it right now, both related to Silverlight: unit testing and a visual designer.

If you are paranoid (and perhaps wise!), Have you thought about running it in a virtual machine? Then you can point it to the same source repository and be sure that the two will not interfere.

I have a parallel installation of VS 2008 and VS 2010 beta 2. The only negative consequence is that some Microsoft DLLS (Microsoft.Test ...) included in the unittest structure on vs2008 and vs2010 must be versioned in vs projects .net 2008. Otherwise, vs2008 may just pick the default vs2010 link and you will get compilation errors.
